The Sentinel Group - Facilitating Transformation in America

For the past seven years the Sentinel Group’s revival-focused documentaries and presence-based Transformation resources have inspired believers around the world to envision a new future for their communities—a future in which transforming revival is not simply a religious pipe dream, but an immediate and glorious reality.  Today, this vision has gained a foothold in nearly every nation on earth.  Bolstered by continuous reports of God’s healing presence at work——hope is giving way to faith.

Predictably, this growing appetite for transforming revival has many Christians looking for practical instruction.  They are eager to prepare the way of the Lord, but uncertain of the appropriate ways and means.

We believe that God has called and positioned the Sentinel Group to provide the kind of practical assistance today’s transformation movement requires.  We also recognize this task is too large for us to handle alone.  For this reason we spent much of 2004 working with our partners and advisors to create a global, multi-agency network capable of delivering a broad range of transformational tools and services.  TransNet America is part of several TransNets (Transformation Networks) across the globe.

TransNet America

In July 2004, The Sentinel Group organized and facilitated an assembly of pastors, intercessors, businessmen, and mayors whose leadership has been indispensable to a variety of local and statewide networks with the purpose of collectively praying about and committing to the pursuit of Transformation through the presence and redemptive power of Jesus Christ in our nation.  The outcome was the birthing of a National network of hope: TransNet America (Transformation Network America).

TransNet America is a relational network that The Sentinel Group facilitates in a catalyst and mentor role with oversight in structure and through Transformation-related tools and resources, with the purpose of igniting Transformation in America.  “Transformation Centers” are focal features of the network that are establishing roots across the nation bringing vision and resources to grassroots communities.

Transformation Centers

Transformation Centers are local service venues that help facilitate the onset of transforming revival in cities, towns and neighborhoods.  Territorial Transformation Centers will work cohesively with their attendant Regional Transformation Centers to accomplish their important mission by:

  1. Creating an enhanced appetite for transforming revival (through media, presence-based Transformation resources, seminars and exposure tours)
  2. Offering principle-based mentoring to communities that develop such an appetite
  3. Providing a venue for biblical activities (such as prayer and compassion ministries) that are known to attract the presence of God

In larger countries such as the United States, each Transformation Center is attached to at least five satellite churches known as Gathering Places.  These revival-minded fellowships make their facilities available for inspirational video premieres and public seminars.

The Eternal Goal

If our central goal is to see God’s kingdom manifest on the earth (Matthew 6:10), our initial task must be to summon, or prepare the way for, the King (Matthew 6:33).  But how is this accomplished?  What, if anything, can we do to attract His presence?  The answer is not as elusive as we might think.  Ask this question of a hundred Bible-believing Christians and you will elicit the correct response every time: Holiness, humility, unity, faith, obedience, prayer, worship, and compassion. The list rolls off our tongues… Which begs the question: If we are so familiar with the actions and qualities that attract God’s presence, why are our communities still waiting for his appearance? For most of us, the answer is painfully obvious.  We have an appetite problem. The church in America seems to be lacking a real and lasting appetite for His presence and for His character to be manifest through us.  And yet, we have experienced a growing restlessness and discontent for ‘the way things are’ in America.  Christians from across the nation are starting to ask themselves if there isn’t something more, something better something genuine and lasting.  If we really want more of Him, He promises to meet us   . . . will we prepare ourselves and invite Him into our communities across America?

The time has come to collectively band together across man-made barriers and spheres of influence to seek God for Transformation in America.  If you are interested in learning more about how you might plug in to TransNet America, we would like to hear from you!
